The Lenape were a powerful Native American nation who inhabited much of the mid-Atlantic coast.
By 1776, only small bands of Lenape remained in New Jersey and eastern Delaware, with many settled in and around Cheswold.
Now 250 years later, Lenape descendants recount their history and the challenges they have faced and continue to face as they try to maintain their community and way of life.
