Historic photographs from the Delaware Public Archives are included in this very short music video about the C&D canal and Delaware City.

The Chesapeake and Delaware Canal (C&D Canal) offered easy passage between Philadelphia and Baltimore for both freight and passengers. When the Canal opened, there was a toll for freight such as cocoa, coal and lumber. Passage became free in 1919 when the federal government took over ownership.
